Job Opening - Regional Policy Director

This newly-created position of Regional Policy Director will lead efforts to direct more public resources to improving safety and access for active transportation and seek opportunities to unify state and local bicycle and pedestrian traffic laws. The ideal candidate will work well with governmental leaders and agency staff to bring together active transportation backers in support of a common vision. Maneuvering through complex community political issues with sensitivity while keeping a project on track will be a key component of this role. Initial focus will be on the Denver metro area. Colorado now No. 2 in bicycle-friendly state rankings
Great news for Colorado: We are now ranked 2nd in the annual Bicycle Friendly State rankings by the League of American Bicyclists. (Last year we were 4th, and when the list started in 2008, we were 22nd.)
The League issued its report cards on May 1.
